Products and pricing

All prices are shown in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. We make every effort to display our products accurately, but colours can vary between screens and the product you receive may differ slightly in shade from the images shown.

We may change prices, withdraw a product or limit quantities at any time without notice. A price change will never affect an order we have already accepted.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or human error, we are not obliged to supply it at that price. We will contact you, cancel the order and refund you in full.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only once we confirm dispatch of your order. We may decline or cancel an order, including where a product is out of stock, where we cannot verify your payment or delivery details, or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we refund you in full.

Payment

Payment is processed securely through our payment providers. We accept the methods shown at checkout, including Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Capitec Pay. We do not store your full card details.

Delivery and returns

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns, refunds and our 30-day money-back guarantee are governed by our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Using our products

Handjies are a cosmetic accessory for external use on the skin. They are not a medical device and nothing on this site is medical advice.

Use them gently, avoid excessive rubbing, and stop using them if irritation occurs. If you have a skin condition or any concern about whether a product suits you, speak to a healthcare professional before use. Keep out of reach of small children.

Care instructions are provided with the product and on the product page. Products damaged by use outside those instructions are not covered by a defect claim.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including the Mooi Beauty and Handjies names, logos, product photography, video, copy and page design, belongs to us or is used under licence. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use it commercially without our written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, to interfere with its operation, or to introduce malicious code. We may suspend or refuse access to anyone who does.

Reviews and submissions

If you send us a review, photograph, comment or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in our marketing, and you confirm it is your own and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading or offensive.

Third-party links

This website may link to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

Availability of the website

We aim to keep this website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, and subject always to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our products. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or liability under section 61 of the Consumer Protection Act.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of this website.

Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.

If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@mooibeauty.co.za and we will try to resolve it. If we cannot, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or to a recognised consumer dispute resolution body.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
